Our visit to Cranbourne Gardens

As part of our history unit we are looking into Indigenous culture. To help with our research, we went to Cranbourne Gardens. At Cranbourne Gardens we learnt about many tools and plants that the Aboriginals used for living. This visit will help us with our presentations we are working on.
At Cranbourne we tried making our own paint with a special rock called Ochre. We rubbed the rock against an another rock and poured water over the dust. We walked around the  garden and tried different scents of the aboriginal plants. The lemon myrtle scent surprised most of us.

I wonder what your next excursion will be like?

Perimeter

Over the last few weeks, we have been

learning about perimeter.

I have created a lot of shapes with different

perimeters to answer challenges that we had in class

I learnt that if I add all of the sides I will get the answer to my perimeter

Do you find it hard to measure a perimeter? Now I have to go so I will sign off
